Exploring sound through contrast ,creativity and technical know how this portfolio showcases three very different and distinct projects that highlight my versatility as a remixer/producer. From a detailed recording project into sound design for my daw track and immersive sound design for multimedia, each piece demonstrates a different approach to shaping audio. Together they reflect my ability to apply the skills I have learned to date in HNC .
Who Am I
Specializing in Progressive Organic Melodic House. My work focuses on deep grooves that take you on a journey. I am particularly drawn to organic and rhythmic detail. My production approach is centred around flow and storytelling with atmospheric layered sounds, taking you on a journey. Always focusing on emotional impact as I spent many years on the dance floor and I DJ when ever I get the chance. I have been involved in House music since the early 90`s
This film clip was made in Ableton. It demonstrates my ability to create and edit sound for motion picture,.Using audio effects creatively whilst using synths to create and shape some interesting sound design.

This is the Life
This is a cover of Amy MacDonald`s hit. It was recorded in Cumbernauld studios. It shows my ability to work with ProTools .Setting up the right mics to get the best sound possible. It is my first work in the studio in collaboration with class members. It shows my ability to work with musicians and others at the desk.
Organic26
This is my DAW track. It demonstrates my ability to use Ableton and showcase just how far I have come since starting at college. Coming from humble beginnings, not knowing much to piece together something like this is quite an achievement. It shows my basic understanding of how the daw is to be used for maximum affect. It also shows the direction i am heading in electronic music.
